Welcome to ThiefTag. By using our app and services, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using ThiefTag, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, and any waivers you sign within the app. If you do not agree, do not use our services.

2. Description of Services

ThiefTag provides:

• Bluetooth device tracking and management
• Theft reporting and bounty posting platform
• Bounty hunter network for item recovery
• Real-time alerts and notifications
• AI-powered assistance features

3. User Accounts

To use ThiefTag, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Provide accurate and complete information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• Accept responsibility for all activity under your account

4. Device Owners

As a device owner, you agree to:

• Only register devices you legally own
• Provide accurate descriptions and photos of your devices
• Report thefts honestly and in good faith
• Pay bounties as agreed when items are recovered
• Not use the platform for fraudulent claims

5. Bounty Hunters

As a bounty hunter, you agree to:

• Complete all required verification and sign the Bounty Hunter Waiver
• Never confront suspected thieves directly
• Involve law enforcement for all recovery attempts
• Follow all applicable laws and regulations
• Submit accurate evidence for bounty claims
• Maintain professional conduct at all times

6. Payments and Subscriptions

Subscription terms:

• ThiefTag offers a Premium subscription ($9.99/month) that includes $500 recovery coverage, 0% platform fees, and all premium features
• On iOS, subscriptions are processed through Apple In-App Purchase. On Android, through Google Play. Payment will be charged to your account at confirmation of purchase
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your device's Account Settings (Apple ID or Google Play)
• Prices are subject to change with 30 days notice
• Bounty payments are held in escrow until claims are verified
• Platform fees (20% for Quick Bounties posted by non-subscribers) are non-refundable
• Subscription refunds are handled by Apple or Google per their respective refund policies

7. Prohibited Conduct

You may not:

• Use ThiefTag for any illegal purpose
• File false theft reports or fraudulent bounty claims
• Harass, threaten, or harm other users
• Attempt to bypass security measures
• Share your account with others
• Use automated systems to access the platform
• Interfere with the operation of our services

8. Intellectual Property

ThiefTag and its content, features, and functionality are owned by ThiefTag and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

9. Disclaimers

ThiefTag is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

• Recovery of stolen items
• Accuracy of location tracking
• Availability of bounty hunters in your area
• Uninterrupted or error-free service

10. Limitation of Liability

ThiefTag shall not be liable for:

• Personal injury or property damage during recovery attempts
• Loss or theft of tracked devices
• Actions of bounty hunters or other users
• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold ThiefTag harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of our services or violation of these terms.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violations of these terms. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

14. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Continued use of ThiefTag after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
